GoGo Foundation honored Kulman Ghising, Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, for his exceptional contribution to ending load shedding in Nepal. He was awarded the GoGo Foundation Award-2016, which included a cash prize of Rs 11,111 and the GoGo Foundation Running Shield.

Dr. Somlal Subedi, Chief Secretary of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Nepal, presented the award during a special program organized by the Foundation in Kathmandu on February 26, 2017.

Established in 2014, the GoGo Foundation Award aims to recognize citizen-friendly government officials, journalists, and civil society activists for their outstanding contributions to promoting good governance and combating corruption in Nepal. The inaugural award in 2015 was presented to renowned Professor Dr. Bhagawan Koirala for his notable improvements in hospital service delivery.
