GoGo Foundation Award-2017
GoGo Foundation honored H.B.Thapa, Chief Editor of Annapurna Post Daily, with the ‘GoGo Foundation Award 2017‘ in recognition of his tireless efforts in combating corruption and improving governance through investigative journalism. The Chief Guest, Anup Raj Sharma, presented him with the award, which includes a purse of NRs 11,111, a Letter of Commendation, and a GoGo Foundation Running Shield. Previously, Prof Dr. Bhagwan Koirala, a prominent Heart Surgeon, and Kulman Ghising, Executive Director of Nepal Electricity Authority, received the award in 2015 and 2016, respectively.
Upon receiving the GoGo Award, Mr. Thapa expressed a sense of greater responsibility to meet the expectations of the people. He emphasized the urgent need to combat corruption and ensure good governance, pledging unwavering commitment to work for the betterment of society and the country.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Sharma, commended GoGo Foundation for its initiative in acknowledging individuals dedicated to societal welfare. He noted that this award would inspire civil servants, anti-corruption activists, and members of civil society organizations to redouble their efforts in the fight against corruption in Nepal.
